Sock *Yukiko*

The sock *Yukiko* has an elegant, clear pattern of graceful arches, running from the cuff down the leg across the instep to the toe. The pattern is inspired by the Japanese style of lace knitting. Instructions for heel and toe are not included; these are knitted according to your preference. The original sock as shown in the picture was made using the *SockenLust* heel. The pattern is charted.

Size: 39/40 (EU) – 8.5-9 (US) – 6-6.5 (UK), but variable
Yarn: 4ply / fingering / sockyarn
Needle size: 2.0 to 2.5 mm (US size 0 to 1, UK size 14 to 13)
Yardage: approx. 350 m (383 yds)
Skill level: 2 (1 easy – 5 difficult)
